Welcome!

This program provides effective injury prevention education to young children ages 3-10 throughout the rural areas of Colorado, Wyoming, and western Nebraska. An ambulance, no longer used by the hospital, has been converted into an interactive teaching vehicle. A jungle theme entices children to learn about safety issues in a fun atmosphere. The educational curriculum includes interactive safety teaching in the areas of:

  • Bike/Helmet Safety
  • Child Passenger/Seat Belt
  • Emergency Activation/Dialing 911
  • Fall Prevention
  • Fire Safety
  • Pedestrian Safety
  • Poison Prevention
  • Water Safety
  • Full Curriculum (PDF)

Once the event is confirmed the vehicle will go to your community with all of the "props" that you will need to teach young children. Each child who completes the Junglemobile curriculums receives either a coloring book with stickers (pre-school age) or an activity book (school age) to reinforce their learning. In return for use of the Junglemobile, we ask that your community provide funds to support the Junglemobile driver for the length of time the Junglemobile will be in your community for your event.

Applications for Junglemobile events in 2008 will be accepted starting January 15, 2008.
